GENERAL INFORMATION

Arrangement of piston rings on the piston

Arrangement of locks of piston rings of petrol engines

I–top and bottom sealing rings

II – a maslootrazhatelny ring

Arrangement of locks of piston rings

I–top sealing ring

II – the second sealing ring

III – a maslosjemny ring

Installation

Before installation of new piston rings check a gap in the ring lock.

Arrange pistons and piston rings according to cylinders in which they will work.

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Establish the top sealing ring in the first cylinder and the bottom of the piston push it in the cylinder to the cylinder basis.

Prevention

The top and average sealing rings are various, an external surface of an average ring the konusny.

2. Using щуп, measure a gap in the ring lock.
3. Repeat measurement process with a ring established in the top part of the cylinder, and compare results of measurement to specifications.
4. If too small, it it is necessary to increase a gap, soshlifovyvy ring end faces.
5. If a gap in the lock of a ring too big, check correctness compliance of rings to your engine.
6. Repeat check operation for each ring in the first cylinder and then for rings in other cylinders.
7. Establish piston rings on pistons in the same way, as well as at removal.
8. After installation of piston rings on the piston check ease of moving of a piston ring in a flute of the piston and establish locks of piston rings.
