3.5.8. Chain cover

GENERAL INFORMATION

Arrangement of bolts of fastening of a cover of a chain to the block of cylinders of the engine

Bolts of fastening are specified by shooters.

Removal

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Remove the top cover of a chain of a drive of the mechanism of a gazoraspredeleniye and an asterisk.
2. Remove a head of the block of cylinders. It is theoretically possible to uncover chains of the mechanism of a gazoraspredeleniye without removal of a head of the block of cylinders, however the probability of damage of laying of a head of the block of cylinders in this case is high.
3. Remove the pump of system of cooling.
4. Remove a pulley of a cranked shaft. When weakening a bolt of fastening of a pulley temporarily take a pulley of blocking of a cranked shaft, and after removal of a pulley establish into place a blocking pin.
5. Remove the oil pallet.
6. Remove the generator.
7. Remove the pump of the amplifier of a steering.
8. Unscrew the bottom head of a natyazhitel of a chain and take a plunzher of the mechanism of a tension of a chain.
9. Unscrew bolts of fastening of a cover of a chain to the block of cylinders of the engine and uncover. Keep in mind that bolts have different length.
	10. Unscrew a sharnirny bolt and remove top (1) and the bottom (2) natyazhitel of a chain.
	11. Unscrew bolts (are specified by shooters) and remove bottom directing to a chain from the block of cylinders.
	12. Temporarily remove an asterisk from the fuel pump and remove laying of a cover of a chain then establish an asterisk into place.

Installation

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Replace an oil sealing ring of a cranked shaft.
2. Check that interfaced surfaces of a cover and a head of the block of cylinders, pure and dry and directing pins are in the nests.
3. Temporarily remove an asterisk from a shaft of the fuel pump, establish laying and arrange it on directing probes. Establish an asterisk on a shaft of the fuel pump.
	4. Establish bottom directing to a chain.
	5. Establish natyazhitel of a chain and fix them a sharnirny bolt.
6. Establish a chain cover into place, combine a drive of the oil pump with an asterisk of a cranked shaft and pull a cover over directing pins.
7. Gradually and consistently tighten bolts of fastening of a cover of a chain.
8. Establish a new sealing ring to the bottom head of a natyazhitel of a chain.
9. Establish a pulley of a cranked shaft.
10. Establish a head of the block of cylinders.
11. Establish the top cover of a chain and an asterisk.
12. Establish the oil pallet.
13. Establish the pump of system of cooling, the generator, the pump of the amplifier of a steering and an auxiliary driving belt.
14. Fill in in the engine engine oil and cooling liquid.
15. Start the engine and check it on absence of leaks.
