3.5.11. Camshafts and pushers
GENERAL INFORMATION
Prevention

At installation of an asterisk of a camshaft and top directing it is necessary to use new bolts.

Removal

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Remove a weight wire from the accumulator and a cover of a head of the block of cylinders.
2. Remove the vacuum pump of brake system.
3. Establish the piston of the first cylinder in the top dead point in a step of compression and fix a cranked shaft.
4. For improvement of access to a cover of an asterisk of the fuel pump execute the following actions:
      – remove a casing of the air filter and a forward exhaust pipe;
      – remove an auxiliary driving belt;
      – unscrew a fastening nut from a frame of a suspension bracket of the power unit and raise the engine so not to deform hoses and pipes.
5. Remove the top natyazhitel of a chain.
6. Remove the mechanism of a tension of a driving belt.
7. Unscrew bolts and uncover asterisks of the fuel pump.
8. Put combination labels between the top chain and asterisks, and also between an asterisk of a camshaft and a camshaft.
9. Unscrew bolts and remove top directing to a chain.
10. Before unscrewing of bolts of fastening of the top directing chain (are specified by shooters) they are necessary for heating up to soften the structure interfering unscrewing of bolts.
11. Using a wrench, fix a camshaft from a provorachivaniye and unscrew bolts of fastening of an asterisk of a camshaft. Before unscrewing of a bolt take a pin of blocking of a cranked shaft and after unscrewing of a bolt establish a pin into place.
12. Remove a chain from an asterisk of a camshaft and take an asterisk from the engine.
13. At asterisk removal under a chain establish a screw-driver or a steel core to prevent chain falling in a head of the block of cylinders.
14. Pay attention to identification labels (are specified by shooters) on covers of bearings of a camshaft. Covers are numbered from 1 to 5 from a forward part of the engine.
15. Working on a spiral outside inside, weaken covers of bearings of a camshaft on a turn half for each pass before complete unscrewing of bolts. It is necessary for gradual and uniform removal of pressure of klapanny springs. Remove covers of bearings of a camshaft.
16. Remove levers from the top part of a head of the block of cylinders and store them in the separate numbered packages.
17. For removal of hydraulic pushers remove a cross-section pipe of supply of fuel and, using a rubber sucker or a magnet, take hydraulic pushers and place them in the corresponding container.

Check
PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Check working surfaces of bearings of a camshaft and contours of cams on wear signs. In the presence of any wear the camshaft is subject to replacement.
2. Check axial люфт a cranked shaft. If axial люфт exceeds admissible limits, the camshaft is subject to replacement.
3. Check a condition of hydraulic pushers and nests for pushers in a head of the block of cylinders.

Installation

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Grease hydraulic pushers with pure engine oil and establish them on the places. Establish a cross-section pipe of an injector.
2. Establish camshaft levers in a head of the block of cylinders labels (And) to a cross-section pipe of supply of fuel (In).
3. Grease camshaft levers with pure engine oil and establish a camshaft in a head of the block of cylinders. Thus cams of the first cylinder (are specified by shooters in drawing at the left) should be directed up, and the groove on the left end of a camshaft (it is specified by an arrow in drawing on the right) should be parallel to a surface of a head of the block of cylinders.
4. Check that interfaced surfaces of covers of the bearing and a head of the block of cylinders, pure and dry and grease necks of a camshaft and cams with pure engine oil.
5. Apply a thin film hermetic on the top surface of a head of the block of the cylinders, interfaced to the left cover of the bearing of a camshaft and establish a cover. Places of drawing of hermetic are specified by shooters.
6. Establish covers of bearings of a camshaft according to identification labels.
7. Tighten bolts of fastening of covers of bearings gradually and in a certain sequence, turning each bolt on a turn half for one pass until each cover will not concern a head of the block of cylinders. Then in the same sequence tighten bolts in some stages the demanded moment. The gradual and uniform tightening of bolts is necessary for uniform compression of springs of the valve.
8. Using earlier put labels, check that the top chain is correctly established on an asterisk of the fuel pump and dress a chain on a camshaft asterisk. Establish an asterisk on the end of a camshaft and establish a new bolt of fastening.
9. Establish top directing to a chain.
10. Using blocking pins, check correctness of installation of the mechanism of a gazoraspredeleniye. Remove blocking pins.
Fix a camshaft from a provorachivaniye and tighten in some stages a bolt of fastening of an asterisk of a camshaft.
11. Tighten a bolt of fastening of a camshaft on a demanded corner.
12. Establish the top natyazhitel of a chain.
13. Check that interfaced surfaces of a cover of an asterisk of the fuel pump and a chain cover pure and dry. Establish a cover of an asterisk of the fuel pump with new laying or on a thin layer of hermetic and tighten bolts of fastening of a cover the demanded moment.
14. Establish the mechanism of a tension of a driving belt.
15. Establish the right support of the power unit and lower the engine.
16. Establish a cover of a head of the block of cylinders.
17. Establish a forward exhaust pipe, a casing of the air filter and the sensor of a cranked shaft.
18. Establish the vacuum pump of brake system.
