As a lot of special OPEL tool is required, it is recommended to perform this work in a specialized workshop. The cam-shaft can be removed both on established, and on the removed head of cylinders. Here the removal description on previously dismantled head of cylinders is provided. It is possible to make removal and on the established head, however it is necessary to do a preparatory work up to unscrewing of a head of cylinders according to subsection 3.6.2.
| PERFORMANCE ORDER
If the cam-shaft acted in film, it is necessary to consider the following: hydraulic pushers of valves without loading extend and after installation some time that they were again compressed is required. Thereof valves can open more than corresponds to the provision of a cam-shaft, and to hit about pistons. It is necessary to maintain the following pauses between installation of a cam-shaft and a head of cylinders: at +20 ° With (room temperature) – 4 minutes; at +10 ° With – 11 minutes. After installation of a head of cylinders wait for 30 more minutes before it will be possible to turn the crankshaft.
|1. If the cam-shaft acted in film on the established head of cylinders, tighten the crankshaft on 30 ° in the rotation direction (for a shestigrannik of a belt pulley) for VMT. At the expense of it any piston will not be in the top situation, and valves cannot encounter them.
|2. Enclose a cam-shaft and sustain a demanded pause.
|3. Only after that return the crankshaft to position VMT of the piston of the 1st cylinder and establish a driving chain.
| 4. Check pushers of valves on wear, if necessary replace.
|5. Establish old pushers on former places.
|6. Grease bearings of a cam-shaft and insert a shaft so that cams of inlet and final valves of the 1st cylinder evenly were turned up.
|7. Establish covers of bearings according to the put markings, they should be established on former places.
|8. Establish the press adaptation and pull covers.
|9. Tighten covers of bearings of a cam-shaft with effort of 15 N of m.
|10. Weaken the adaptation and unscrew it.
|11. Establish a head of cylinders.
