3.4.9. Cranked shaft

PERFORMANCE ORDER
Engines in volume 2,0 liters

1. Remove the oil pump and a flywheel.

2. Remove pistons and rods.
3. Check a free wheeling of a cranked shaft.
4. Covers of radical bearings should be numbered from 1 to 5. If covers are not numbered, number them. The cover of N1 is from a gas-distributing belt.
5. Unscrew bolts of covers, remove covers together with loose leaves of bearings.
6. Remove a cranked shaft.
7. Remove loose leaves from the block of cylinders and remove half rings of the central bearing.
Engines in volume 2,5 and 3,0 liters
8. Remove the oil pump and a flywheel.
9. Remove pistons and rods.
10. Check a free wheeling of a cranked shaft.
11. Unscrew four bolts of the block of the covers, fixing the block to the block of cylinders.
12. Unscrew the remained eight bolts of the block of covers, get bolts and remove the block.
13. Covers of radical bearings should be numbered from 1 to 3. The cover of N1 is from a gas-distributing belt. If covers are not numbered, number them.
14. Remove covers together with loose leaves of bearings.
15. Remove a cranked shaft.
16. Remove loose leaves from the block of cylinders and remove half rings of the central bearing.

Check of a free wheeling of a shaft

For carrying out check the cranked shaft should be established in the block of cylinders.

PERFORMANCE ORDER
Check a free wheeling of a shaft by means of the special measuring tool (drawing at the left) or by means of measuring щупов (drawing on the right).

Check

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Clean a cranked shaft solvent and dry up it the compressed air.
2. Examine necks of bearings of a cranked shaft on existence of wear tracks, scratches, corrosion or cracks. Rub a copper coin on the bearing. If the bearing erases copper, means, its surface is too rough, and it is necessary for processing.
3. Examine a cranked shaft on existence of cracks or other damages.
4. Measure diameters of radical and shatunny bearings. Check necks of bearings on a konusnost and ovality.
5. Check necks of epiploons of a cranked shaft on existence of wear tracks or damages. If epiploons wiped flutes on necks, new epiploons will pass oil.
6. Measure shaft palpation.
7. At detection of wear, damages and any discrepancies to technical characteristics address to experts.

Selection of loose leaves

For the correct selection of loose leaves be guided by size of a lubricant gap which it is possible to measure by means of a plastic measuring tape. At emergence of any problems with selection of loose leaves address to experts.

Check of a lubricant gap of radical bearings

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Carefully clean back surfaces of loose leaves.
2. Establish loose leaves, having combined their ledges (it is specified by an arrow) with deepenings in covers and the block of cylinders.
3. For measurement of a lubricant gap it is possible to use an internal micrometer or other special device, but the most exact and easy method – to use a special plastic measuring instrument.
4. Clean a cranked shaft, bearings and lubricant openings, then accurately establish a cranked shaft on bearings.
5. Put a plastic piece on each of radical bearings along a shaft axis.
6. Establish covers of radical bearings, trying not to shift plastic. Tighten fixing bolts of covers till the demanded moment of an inhaling. Do not turn a cranked shaft.
7. Unscrew bolts, and accurately remove covers.
8. Measure width of the crushed film by means of a special scale for determination of size of a lubricant gap.
9. If the size of a gap does not correspond to technical requirements, establish loose leaves of other size.
10. Carefully remove film traces from a shaft and bearings.

Final installation of a cranked shaft

PERFORMANCE ORDER
Engines in volume 2,0 liters
1. Accurately remove a cranked shaft. If you establish a new shaft, do not forget to rearrange a rotor of the sensor of a shaft (bolts of fastening are specified by shooters).
2. Establish loose leaves of bearings. Loose leaves with lateral ledges (And) are established on the central bearing (N3) in engines in volume 2,0 liters and on the back bearing (N4) in engines in volume 2,5 and 3,0 liters. Other loose leaves have no ledges (In).
3. Clear a surface of the top loose leaves and grease them with greasing or engine oil. Check, that bearings of a cranked shaft were pure and establish a cranked shaft into place.
4. Grease and establish the bottom loose leaves. Establish covers of radical bearings.
5. Clean a back cover and fill lateral grooves of a cover with hermetic N15 03 295. Establish a back cover.
6. Grease bolts of covers with engine oil, insert bolts and tighten them a hand.
7. Tighten bolts of covers of vsekhkorenny bearings till the demanded moment of an inhaling.
8. Hold on bolts on a necessary corner.
9. Turn a cranked shaft a hand several times and check ease of a course.
Engines in volume 2,5 and 3,0 liters
10. Establish a cranked shaft.
11. Establish loose leaves in covers of bearings and establish covers 1–3 in the block of cylinders.
12. Clean a back cover and fill lateral grooves of a cover with hermetic N15 03 295.
13. Establish a back cover.
14. Establish the block of covers so that the arrow on the block was directed towards a gas-distributing belt.
15. Grease carvings of new bolts of the block of covers and insert bolts.
16. Tighten bolts till the demanded moment of an inhaling.
17. Hold on bolts on a necessary corner.
18. After you tightened bolts, squeeze out a little more hermetic in grooves of a back cover (are specified by shooters). Hermetic should begin to flow from joints.
19. Turn a cranked shaft a hand several times and check ease of a course.
20. Twist in the block of covers of the plug (are specified by shooters) with the carving cut in them and tighten them till the demanded moment of an inhaling.
21. Insert the bolts, fixing the block of covers to the block of cylinders.
22. Tighten bolts (are specified by shooters) till the demanded moment of an inhaling.
