2.2.4.2. Speed of idling and toxicity of exhausts

GENERAL INFORMATION

The tachometer of usual type (the sensor of frequency of rotation of a cranked shaft) which works at impulses from ignition system, cannot be established on the diesel engine. If you consider that cannot adjust frequency of rotation of a cranked shaft aurally, it is necessary for you to get a tachometer or to address to experts.

Check

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Check, that the rope of an accelerator was correctly adjusted.

2. Warm up the engine to normal working temperature and check, that speed of operation of the engine in a mode of idling was such as it is specified in subsection 5.2.1.

3. If adjustment is necessary, turn off a lock-nut and turn the screw of adjustment of speed of the idling, located from above the injecting pump. When speed of idling will be correctly adjusted, reliably tighten a lock-nut.

4. Muffle the engine and (if it is necessary) disconnect a tachometer on termination of check.

Check of system of production of the fulfilled gases

For check of toxicity of exhaust gases it is necessary to use the special equipment therefore performance of this operation is better for entrusting experts. If works regularly, it is not necessary to carry out this check.
